What are the information that the clock interface deliver?

The clock interface shows a clock surrounded by a colorful band/pie that graphically represents the elapsed time of the current prayer and the remaining times until the upcoming prayers. The crescent's color is a direct indication of the current prayer. The single letters that are shown under the band signify the prayer names.

As shown below, the color of the crescent is blue and the letter 'I' is displayed. This signifies that the current time is Ishaa.

I live in a region with a high latitude. What is the most accurate time method to use?

If you live in a region with a high latitude (i.e., greater than or equal to 48.6°), you could enable the Higher Latitude Adjustment checkbox found in the settings. By default, the Higher Latitude Adjustment is disabled, and, instead, the Fajr/Ishaa angle method is used with certain valid approximations.

By enabling the Higher Latitude Adjustment in a country/region with a high latitude, the Fajr/Ishaa angle method is disabled and the HLA method appears as the current time method on the clock interface. It is preferable to enable the Higher Latitude Adjustment method in countries with high latitudes and no country-specific time method.

Optimally, it is better to ask your country's islamic authority about the most suitable prayer time method to use.

Why is there another linear clock?

The linear clock is a clear representation of all prayer times of the current day. This gives you more information than the actual clock, which only displays the remaining time until the upcoming prayers.

Before the Ishaa prayer, the moving clock hand shows the current time as follows.

After the Ishaa prayer, the prayer times of the next day is shown, and the clock hand disappears until the fajr prayer event.

How can I adjust the Hijri date?

Although there are plenty of algorithms, the lunar calendar always varies depending on the country's religious authorities that sight the lunar crescent. For this reason, we have implemented a new approach for getting the actual Hijri date with exact accuracy for each country and time zone. This is achieved by lunar calendar server synchronization; that is, the accurate lunar calendar is delivered by our constantly updated servers.

If Hijri Date Sync functionality is supported in your country or timezone, the Hijri date is adjusted automatically based on your current location. Otherwise, you can add a day shift to the base hijri date.

The logo of the calendar indicates whether your timezone is supported or not.

What are the timezones that are supported by Hijri Date Sync?

The currently supported timezones are listed below:

  • Africa/Cairo - EG
  • Asia/Bahrain - BH
  • Asia/Dubai - AE
  • Asia/Kuwait - KW
  • Asia/Qatar - QA
  • Asia/Riyadh - SA
  • Europe/Berlin - DE
  • Europe/London - GB
  • Europe/Paris - FR

We are constantly increasing this list to include all countries of the world.
